(Beijing, April 20) Miao Lijie scored a game-high of 15 points and Chen Nan added a double-double of 12 points and thirteen rebounds to lift China to a thrilling 67-64 win over world No.2 Australia in the "Good Luck Beijing" CNPC 2008 Women's Basketball International Invitational Tournament tonight at the Beijing Olympic Basketball Gymnasium.

Bian Lan was the third Chinese player reaching double figures today, 12 points. Liu Dan poured in 9 in the win for China, who was 30 percent from the arc.

Suzy Batkovic notched team high 13 points while Rohanee Cox and Emma Randall each had 12 and Hollie Grima added 10 for Australia in the loss.

Australia outrebounded China 48-24 in the match, but made only 2 out of 17 in long-range shooting.

The game was harried by fouls from both sides throughout the first quarter. China was up 21-16 with Miao Lijie earning 11 in this period.

After Suzy Batkovic's lay-up fifty seconds into the second quarter, Australia was reluctant to score in the following four minutes. China led 33-25 into the locker-room and Australia was 3 out of 10 from the field.

Australia opened the second half with a 4-0 run but China relied on fast breaks to regain a double-figure lead 49-38 after this period.

Rohanee Cox came out strong in the early fourth quarter, making 5 points in the first five minutes. China suffered several fouls with three minutes remaining, but still managed 67-64 for the win.
