Jung Duk Hwa (KOR) - Coach
On improvement they made today:
"We strengthened our defense and assists."
On letting PARK Jung Eun playing less today:
"She is an excellent player. She was very tired coming here immediately after a tense domestic competition round. She plays excellent defense as well as good offense. She needs a little bit rest and some training to get back on the floor again."
Kim Jung Eun (KOR) - Forward
On playing better today than yesterday:
"We were a little nervous on the first day and didn't adapt very well. We had better defense today and we attacked at every chance we grabbed."
Mike Mchugh (NZL) - Coach
On losing the game:
"Korea had very good defense and they were just too quick for us. We have to work on our defense and we weren't able to defend their quickness. Korea has been a very frontier team for many years and we are a very young team."
On Angela Marino, key point guard:
"She is a very fine player, She got many three-point shots. I was happy with her score today not as happy as her defense play where she let some people cut by a few times. But I'm sure she wilt be an excellent defending players"
Jillian Harmon (NZL) - Forward
On where New Zealand could improve:
"We should watch out for the cuts around the basket and put up better defense against their three-point shots."
Erin Philips (AUS) - Guard
On Your performance facing the fierce defense from China:
"We are very flat in the first half. We may put this behind us and move on. We'll have a game tomorrow. We are going to work it out and it will be different."
On players being extremely nervous at the third quarter:
"I think that we are very young and many girls have not played in Asia before. It's a new surrounding. We are still learning to play together. It will just take a bit time for us to play together and get ready by August."
