(Beijing, April 24) The USA halted host China's four-game winning streak 86-61 this evening in their last round robin game of the "Good Luck Beijing" CNPC 2008 Women's Basketball International Invitational Tournament.

China earned its fourth win in a row after beating Cuba 66-58 last evening while four-time Olympic champions USA routed New Zealand 78-60 and gained their third consecutive win yesterday.

Lisa Leslie scored game high 26 points in the win. Her teammate Sylvia Fowles posted a double-double with 20 points and 16 rebounds for USA.

Bian Lan led China with 14 points. Chen Xiaoli had 13 and Miao Lijie added 9. Center Chen Nan got only 8 for China.

Lisa Leslie and Sylvia Fowles came out strong in the paint to lead USA to a 21-17 advantage after the first quarter.

China recovered on Miao Lijie and Chen Xiaoli's free throws early in the second quarter but the increasing turnovers in the last three minutes made the host team down 43-35 at half time.

China suffered a low field goal percentage in the third quarter and the US players set up a double-figure advantage with three minutes remaining in the period and made 63-48 to the final quarter.

The game went on with no suspense as USA extended its lead to a margin of 20 points on Lisa Leslie's two-pointer plus the ensuing free throw in the fourth quarter. USA called off most of its starters with four minutes to go to the buzzer and won the match 86-61.

After this match, both sides ended with 4W-1L and the gold-medal match is slated for Saturday evening.
