(Beijing, 26 April ) - Comments from Lisa Leslie (USA) and Katie Smith (USA) following the game the United States against China at the Beijing Olympic Basketball Gymnasium.

Lisa Leslie (USA) - Centre

On the different results from the last games against China:
"It was really incredible. All of our post players made too many foul troubles. They really changed the moment. Their No.8 (Miao Lijie) did much better. "

On the progress achieved in the beginning of the second half:
"In the second half we came out really strong, so we gained the moment and we gained the lead. But I don't think we played well and let China back into the game."

On her personal performance:
"I didn't play well. It's not my best. On the defense and rebounds, I could do better."

Katie Smith (USA) - Guard

On their team's catching up close in the second half:
"We played a little bit better defense and we were available to score a bit more. China played well and had a lot of shots very aggressively."

On China's performance in the paint zone:
"They did play very well. They played one on one. They were close players. We got foul trouble earlier, so we were a little bit less aggressive. They are very good players. Their close play is very well."

On whether she was influenced by the spectators:
"No, it's good crowd. It's fun. It's nice to have a crowd. They didn't affect us. Maybe they helped China playing more excitedly, so they got on the run."

On her performance in the tournament:
"So-so, it's disappointing. Played some good basketball, but overall I think we can do a lot better. It needs more focus on discipline every minute or other."

On her expectations and preparations for the Olympic Games:
"Just keep working hard. I was playing in the WNBA, but Olympics will be a little more challenging.  We've got Russia, Australia, China and ourselves. We are ready to play and we will win."
